Hi there! I’m Linda Carol.

Linda Carol Risso-Fadrowski, MAAEd

Linda was in her light-filled  art studio one sunny afternoon. She had always been fascinated by the power of visual arts to communicate deep emotions and stories. That day, she stared at a blank page in her art journal,
pondering what called to her and what she would create next.

Her eyes roamed around the room until they landed on a pile of old magazines lying in the corner. An idea sparked in her mind. She reached out for the stack and began flipping through them,
tearing out pages that caught her eye -
an image of a sunset here, a vibrant peacock there.

As Linda started arranging these torn pieces on her paper, something magical began to happen. The random images started weaving together into a beautiful narrative - like individual notes coming together to form a symphony.
This was collage magic unfolding right before her eyes!

Her artwork wasn't just about gluing pieces of paper onto paper;
it was about creating meaning from chaos -
giving life to discarded materials by transforming them
into meaningful visuals.

One particular piece titled "The Journey" is an excellent example of this transformative process. It depicts a woman walking along an enchanted path filled with bright flowers and mystical creatures—a perfect blend of reality and fantasy that beautifully conveys
the ups and downs we all experience in our personal journeys.

But why does this technique work so well? According to Dr. Paul Loprinzi from the University of Mississippi's Department of Health & Kinesiology*, engaging in creative activities like collage making can stimulate different parts of our brain involved in problem-solving and emotional processing - resulting in artworks that are not only
visually appealing but also deeply meaningful.

So next time you're stuck with a blank canvas, journal page
or feeling creatively blocked, remember
Linda Carol Risso-Fadrowski and her Collage Magic™.
You never know what masterpiece might be hiding in the
pages of your old magazines!
